YPIN: Argentinean Wine Tasting: What's all the Buzz?

The world has its eye on Argentinean wine, with wine shops and media alike buzzing that it is bound to surpass Chile, Australia, and all the other New World producers. But what has changed in the past year or two to bring about this sudden popularity? Why does a country with a wine-making tradition spanning back to the 1500s only now explode onto the world scene?

Join us for the next installment of our “Wines of the World” series as we explore Argentina, its culture, and the wines that are putting it on the map (it’s not just Malbec!). Elemental Importers, a new wine importing company based here in Seattle, will be guiding us on this journey and pouring a range of wines that showcase what this amazing country has to offer! In addition to experiencing a variety of unique wines and delicious empanadas (prepared by Magic Road International, Inc), you'll have the chance to network with fellow YPIN members and explore the great new exhibit at the Friesen Gallery, one of Seattle's most popular venues for contemporary art!
