Women Writers of the Arab World (Dinner)

Hedgebrook an partnership with the Arab American Community Coalition are hosting a dinner for the Arab Women Writers at the World Affairs Council. The award winning writers are guests of the Hedgebrook Residency Program and are appearing at various public and private venues across the Puget Sound. Award-winning Arab writers include Raja Alem (Saudi Arabia), Suheir Hammad (Palestine/U.S.), Choman Hardi (Iraqi Kurdistan/UK), Alia Mamdouh (Iraq/France), Somaya Ramadan (Egypt), and Ibtihal Salem (Egypt. Please join us for dinner which will include a dialogue on the lives of these women, their writing, and the global relevance of their work. In addition, this is an opportunity for intimate discussion with the writers, as they will each head seperate tables.
