Corporate & Institutional Membership

There are a variety of ways to support the work of the World Affairs Council. Bundled annual calendar year membership is available at the $25,000, $10,000 and $5,000 levels and supports the overall mission of the World Affairs Council and includes generalized support of the Global Leadership Series, the International Visitor Program and Global Classroom. Bundled membership may include the opportunity to nominate a Fellow.

Some organizations prefer to maintain an annual calendar-year general membership at one of either the $5,000, $2,500, $1,500 or $1,000 levels, and provide additional restricted support earmarked for specific sponsorship opportunities. Specific opportunities for support, either combined or separate from general membership, include:

  • Fellows Program: Giving an exclusive group of current and future Puget Sound business and community leaders access to high-caliber international speakers and enabling them to develop contacts with their local counterparts.  Support a fellow for $1,500.
  • Global Classroom: Connecting teachers and students with international resources, ideas, and people through professional development trainings, speaker series, curriculum design, and youth programs. Specific support for Global Classroom can be in any amount.
  • International Visitor Program: Annually hosting an average of nearly 800 international professionals and youth from more than 100 countries each year. Specific support for the International Visitor Program can be in any amount.
  • Global Leadership Series and World Citizen Event Sponsorship: Specific support for sponsorship of major events range from $1,000 to $10,000.
  • Thematic Event Sponsorship: Specific support for thematic events ranges from $500 to $5,000.

The total amount of annual support is aggregated and the corporation or institution is acknowledged at the aggregated level in all World Affairs Council promotional materials.
