Global Futures Society

Global Futures, The World Affairs Council Legacy Society honors the philanthropic leadership and vision of individuals who have provided for the future of the World Affairs Council by:

  • Bequests Through a Will or Living Trust
  • Closely Held Stock and Other Business Interests
  • Donor Advised Funds
  • Life Insurance
  • Outright Gifts
  • Real Estate
  • Retained Life Estates
  • Retirement Plans or Life Insurance Policies that name the World Affairs Council as Beneficiary
  • Gifts that Provide Lifetime Income, such as Charitable Gift Annuities, Charitable Remainder Trusts, and Charitable Lead Trusts

Planned giving is an opportunity to support the life and future of your community by making a charitable gift to an organization that has been an important part of your life, and the lives of others. In addition to making an important difference to a cause you believe in, this form of estate planning may offer substantial income tax deductions and significantly minimize estate taxes.

Global Future members make this commitment by providing gifts to the World Affairs Council through estate plans and other planned/deferred gifts. There are a variety of planned giving options:

  • Will or Living Trust
  • Charitable Trusts
  • Retirement Plan Designation
  • Life Insurance Policy

Global Futures recognizes and honors those donors who have made plans through their estate to give back to their local and global community through the World Affairs Council.  Those who become members before the end of September 2012 will be designated as Charter Members and will be recognized as such in perpetuity.  Your planning today will benefit our community for generations to come.
