The World Affairs Council connects teachers with international
resources, ideas, and people. Through its professional development
programs, the Council informs educators about world regions, cultures,
and issues; provides access to people from the regions being discussed;
and disseminates up-to-date curriculum that supports bringing these
ideas into the classroom.

Teachers leave each program with greater understanding
of world issues, enhanced skills to teach about them, and renewed
contacts with educators and community resources outside of their
classrooms.
These workshops include:
- guest
speakers,
- panelists,
hands-on activities,
- dinner,
- free
clock hours,
-
complete and up-to-date teacher resource packets.
