Indonesian Youth Ambassadors
June, 2008
The World Affairs Council, Meridian International Center, and the
U.S. Department of State partnered to bring 11 visitors from Indonesia
to Seattle in June, 2008 and they presented a program of traditional
Indonesian song, dance and dress. |

Civic
Education and Youth Programs
April, 2008
The World Affairs Council, Mississippi Consortium for International
Development, and the U.S. Department of State partnered to bring
civic leaders from Europe to Seattle in April, 2008 to explore the
themes of volunteerism and civic education at Earthcorps, the Cherry
Street Food Bank and Roosevelt High School. |

Scouting
and Other Clubs - Saudi Arabia
April, 2008
The World Affairs Council, Meridian International Center, and the
U.S. Department of State partnered to bring 12 visitors from Saudi
Arabia to Seattle in April, 2008 to explore youth activities and events,
and the differences and similarities between Boy Scouts in the US
and the Middle East. |

While
in Seattle the Moroccan and Serbian students from 2007 worked together
with Longhouse Media/Native Lens to produce a film about their impressions
of the U.S. as well as their specific program goals.

U.S.
Brazilian Embassy Youth Ambassador Exchange Project January 17-24,
2008
The World Affairs Council partnered with Delphi International, World
Learning and the U.S. Embassy in Brazil to bring 6 Brazilian Youth
to Seattle. These Youth Ambassadors worked on projects focused on
youth leadership and empowerment. |

Youth Program-Ethnic Tolerance in a Multi-ethnic Society: October
27 - November 12, 2007
World
Affairs Council and Delphi International/World Learning partnered
to bring a delegation from Serbia to Seattle to explore the themes
of ethnic tolerance

team building tools, service learning, and student government. |

Affairs Council partnered with OneWorldNow!, AMIDEAST, and AYUSA
to develop a mutual exchange program between Moroccan and Seattle-based
students focused on the development of leadership and cross-cultural
communicatiton skills through art and culture. |
