Professionals International Network
The Young Professionals International Network (YPIN)
offers activities and social events geared especially to the interests
and needs of our members in their 20s and 30s interested in international
affairs. This program is designed for younger associates in business
or other professional career tracks, students, and others with ties
to or interest in international affairs and cultures.

ACTIVITIES
Presentations
A less formal and more interactive forum than our main lectures
and presentations, these events allow for more informal discussions
with the speaker. The presentations cover such topics as travel,
comparative literature and film, international political issues,
human rights, and more.
Social events/activities
Bi-weekly or monthly gatherings at a local bar or cafe to discuss
issues and socialize; events may include wine tasting, ethnic food
and language nights, sponsoring an ethnic BBQ or picnic, and more.
Discussions This monthly discussion
group examines a predetermined issue in-depth. Participants have
the opportunity to discuss the issue and relate it to their daily
lives.

GOALS
1. To offer events centered on international affairs
in a casual, informal, or social setting. The events will be educational,
as well as provide an environment for participants to foster friendships
with one another.
2. To provide a "networking" community
for young members. We will provide young members with the opportunity
to interact with prominent members and have access to Seattle's
international community. Young members are also able to meet with
international visitors.
3. To provide activities that are affordable to young
professionals and allow for flexibility and diversity.

Want to get involved? YPIN is a volunteer-based group
and we welcome ideas and action from people like you! Help make
future YPIN events successful; suggest ideas, invite event speakers/hosts,
plan logistics, spread the word with our marketing team, or help
out at the event itself. Being involved with YPIN shows that you
care about world issues and the community, provides access to great
networks, and is a lot of fun. Contact ypin_seattle@yahoo.com
