International Schools Mini Symposium

Join us on Monday, August 29th for a mini-symposium all about international education. Network with Seattle International School teachers, share ideas, discover classroom resources, and learn new strategies for preparing global citizens. Teacher-led workshop sessions will include information on Earning the SPS International Education Category; Globalizing Curriculum through Interdisciplinary Project-Based Learning; Developing Global Competence; Investigating the World and Recognizing Perspectives; and Running a Global Leadership Class in High School. Educators will have the option to attend 2 different workshop sessions of their choice.

Keynote Remarks by Professor of Social Studies Education at the University of Washington Walter Parker

The Mini-Symposium will take place during the afternoon on the August 29. That morning, teachers new to SPS International Schools will be able attend a special orientation workshop on international education.

***Three Teacher Clocks Hours will be provided for attending the afternoon symposium***Light lunch and refreshments also included***


Lunch will be served in the Chief Sealth Galleria (Cafeteria) at 12 (noon).
