Expo 2020 Dubai Cultural Performers Virtual Interest Session

The World Affairs Council, in partnership with Global Ties U.S. and the U.S. Department of State, are seeking Cultural Performers to perform at the U.S. Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai scheduled to take place between October 2021 and March 2022.

Cultural Performers serve as representatives of the United States and its territories, and will provide entertainment to millions of Expo visitors. Performers will be selected across a variety of disciplines to reflect the rich diversity of the United States and its culture, including but not limited to music, dance, theatre, literature, film, cuisine, and sports!
Performers are expected to be in Dubai for approximately 5 to 7 days and are required to participate in a minimum of 4 performances. International travel, lodging, and per diem will be provided for all performers at the U.S. Pavilion. Expo 2020 Dubai is the first World’s Fair held in the Middle East. Through the 192 countries hosting pavilions, Expo 2020 Dubai will unveil the inventions, ideas, and inspirations that have the potential to change the future. Expo's theme, "Connecting Minds, Creating the Future," is the belief that innovation and progress are the result of people and ideas coming together in new and unique ways. The United Arab Emirates projects 70 percent of attendees will be international visitors, the highest proportion in Expo history. Expo coincides with the UAE’s 50th anniversary in 2021. Over the past 50 years, the UAE has impressed the world with its rapid growth and amazing achievements. Expo 2020 Dubai wants to motivate people to carry that innovative spirit forward.
