Empowering Youth to Strengthen Communities and Prevent Violence: A group of 10 visitors from South and Central Asia will visit Seattle to explore the efforts of schools, community-based programs, and faith-based groups to support at-risk youth and their families through specialized programs and after school activities.
The U.S. Justice System - Protecting Women and Children II: A group of 6 visitors from around the world will visit Seattle to examine the role of state government in protecting women and children, identify best methods of addressing discriminatory practices based on gender, and create linkages among professionals in the legal field working to promote international cooperation on justice for women and children.
Police Professionalization Exchange Program: A group of 14 visitors from Mexico will visit Seattle on a study tour that will allow for focused dialogue and sharing of knowledge between U.S. and Mexican law enforcement practitioners on the evolution of modern policing and police systems, analysis on their own communities and roles as law enforcement professionals, and reflection on best practices and lessons learned.
The Creative Economy and Entrepreneurship Incubators: A group of 6 visitors from Indonesia will visit Seattle to gain insight on successful incubator models and identify common factors for successful business practices in fostering creative economy and entrepreneurship.
Social Engagement and Outreach by Cultural Institutions: One visitor from Poland will visit Seattle to explore best practices of social engagement and outreach by cultural institutions.
International Trade and the Global Economy: A group of 11 visitors from Latin America will visit Seattle to analyze international trade and capital investment trends, emerging economies and markets, and the role of the United States and Latin America in the current and future global economic order.
Health Care and Marginalized Populations: A group of 12 visitors from around the world will visit Seattle to examine how the U.S. healthcare system aids marginalized populations, provides training and development programs for healthcare professionals, and offers cutting-edge urban and rural healthcare strategies and programs.
