January Fellows Breakfast with Naima Green-Riley

The World Affairs Council Fellows Program offers a unique professional development opportunity to a small group of greater Seattle's business and community leaders. The Fellows convene monthly for breakfast discussions with carefully selected high-caliber international experts who offer unparalleled insight into current global issues, in addition to meeting throughout the year for additional Council events and dedicated networking opportunities.
About the Speaker
Naima Green-Riley is on the faculty of the Department of Politics and the School of Public and International Affairs at Princeton University. She specializes in Chinese foreign policy, with a focus on public diplomacy and the global information space. Naima serves as a nonresident fellow at the Atlantic Council's Digital Forensic Research Lab and she is on the Board of Directors for Oxfam America. She is currently a Public Intellectual Fellow with the National Committee on U.S.-China Relations, and she is also a member of the Aspen Strategy Group and a term member of the Council on Foreign Relations. In 2020, she was listed as a Black American National Security & Foreign Policy Next Generation Leader by New America and the Diversity in National Security Network. Before pursuing her Ph.D. at Harvard, Naima was a Foreign Service Officer at the State Department, and she served in Egypt and China. She is proficient in Mandarin Chinese, and she has also studied Arabic and Zulu.
