U.S. Sovereignty: Negotiating our Future in the World Community
January 25th, 2018
Join the World Affairs Council for a conversation on U.S. sovereignty, and the role it plays in our national debates and foreign policy directives. Leading the discussion is Stewart Patrick, the James H. Binger senior fellow in global governance and director of the International Institutions and Global Governance Program at the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR).
Patrick will discuss how the concept of ‘American sovereignty’ is being fought over by political and populist opportunists, and the danger this presents in a world where states are increasingly interdependent, while the threats facing them grow beyond their borders.
