The World Affairs Council is dedicated to providing opportunities for everyone in Greater Seattle to be a world citizen. By becoming a member, you are supporting activities that enrich Greater Seattle’s civic and cultural conversation with global perspectives.
The World Affairs Council’s membership is made up of a diverse group of community members; teachers, students, business leaders and government representatives from across Puget Sound. The World Affairs Council is non-partisan and attracts members who are inquisitive, dynamic, with varied interests and perspectives on global issues from a variety of different backgrounds and age groups. Our goal is to offer programs that fit the needs and interests of our diverse constituents and provide forums for discussion of critical world issues.
The World Affairs Council offers a variety of levels of personal memberships. A personal membership allows you to network with globally-minded individuals and support World Affairs Council programming in the community. As a personal member you will also enjoy privileges reserved only for members.
- Personal members receive: discounted rates on all World Affairs Council events and publications, special invitations to network with other members, members-only opportunities to learn about critical world issues affecting our region and world through in-depth discussions about global affairs, and invitations to host international visitors from across the globe.
- Your personal membership supports the following in our local community: providing broad access to community programs on global affairs, professional development training in global affairs for local teachers, global engagement programs for youth, and cultural and professional exchange with visitors from around the world.
Corporate & Institutional members receive:
A corporate or institutional membership offers a variety of benefits. A corporate or institutional membership gives you increased visibility in the local international affairs community while providing support to World Affairs Council programming in the community.
- Corporate/ Institutional members receive: recognition in print and online at the World Affairs Council website and through e-newsletters, invitations to attend a host of events and programs to benefit your employees, opportunities to meet and confer with your professional counterparts from overseas, invitations to attend private receptions with leading international dignitaries, reserved seating at our community receptions and programs with global community leaders, connections to business leaders in the community who can lead you to do business in other countries, and professional development for your company by nominating an employee to participate in the World Affairs Council’s select Fellows Program.
- A Corporate/Institutional membership supports: broad public access to international education through our Global Classroom Program, diverse Community Programs, opportunities for the Greater Seattle community to meet with hundreds of international experts in a variety of fields through our International Visitors Program.
