Amy Bishop-Smith
Amy Bishop-Smith is a senior at the University of Washington where she is pursuing a degree in International Studies with a focus on East Asia and Japanese. In high school, Amy spent time living with a host family in Osaka, Japan, where she discovered her passion for facilitating global understanding. Amy has since dedicated her education to working toward the strengthening of human connections across political and cultural boundaries.
Amy has a background in youth advocacy and spent her teenage years participating in various county advisory commissions to represent the youth voice. These experiences, as well as her time abroad, have shaped her life goal of contributing toward a future of global empathy. In her free time, Amy enjoys writing, barista-ing, and discovering new Seattle restaurants with friends.
