Gabriela Olivas

Gabriela Olivas received her BA from Washington State University. She majored in Asian Studies and Japanese, and minored in Spanish, Global Studies, and Business Administration. As an undergrad, Gabriela spent majority of her time juggling different roles. She chartered an Asian interest sorority on campus, and became President of the school’s Marketing Club. She later received the President’s LEAD Award for her leadership and service to the WSU community.

Gabriela’s first interaction with global affairs began as a young girl. Her family often traveled to visit their home countries in Mexico and the Philippines. These adventures sparked the passion to learn about the diverse cultures around the world. She loves music, sports and pop culture.When the opportunity arises, Gabriela takes off to explore. She has traveled to Brazil for the World Cup, and Canada for the Winter Olympics. Her next goal is to one day attend the Summer Olympics.
