Taylor Timinsky
Taylor Timinsky is a Program Officer for the International Visitors Program. In her role, she primarily works on the International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) and the Professional Fellows Program. She concentrated on Middle Eastern Studies at the University of Texas at Austin and in that time, developed a strong interest in cross-cultural understanding and aid for marginalized communities. Before moving to the Pacific Northwest, she served as an AmeriCorps VISTA member in the Mayor of Austin’s office, working with the Chief Service Officer to create a city-wide plan focused on increasing community involvement and eradicating poverty within Austin. She has hands-on experience in youth education, serving as an instructor in Dallas ISD schools where she helped develop and teach curricula incorporating the fine arts into STEM-centric classes. She is excited to be living in the PNW and for the opportunity to further promote international exchange and citizen diplomacy. In her spare time she enjoys trying out new recipes, hiking, searching for barbecue in Seattle, and escaping the Northwest rain by watching movies on Netflix.
