Political Consulting Group Meets with Leaders from the Republic of Georgia

A delegation of five political leaders from the Republic of Georgia met with numerous Seattle-based companies and organizations last week.  As distinguished guests of the U.S. Department of State, traveling across the U.S. on the International Visitor Leadership Program, the Georgian visitors met with a variety of their professional counterparts from think tanks and local election officials, to advocacy groups and political strategists.  Cathy Allen, Founder and President of The Connections Group, a political and communications consulting firm, wrote the following about her discussion with the Georgian visitors:

“Continuing to expand our background in international elections, I had a wonderful time today meeting with these fascinating men and women participating in the International Visitor Leadership Program from the country of Georgia. My goal was to expose them to campaign strategies and communication skills that make today’s leaders ready for the challenges they will face. Our conversations covered a number of areas and focused on ways for candidates to build effective networks and political support. I look forward to seeing the progress Georgia makes in engaging different media to elect strong and vibrant leaders such as those present today. With these kinds of leaders, they are well on their way.”

The Georgian delegation’s professional and cultural itinerary was arranged by the World Affairs Council’s International Visitor Program.
