Brazil’s Political and Economic Environment Member-to-Member Lunch

On Wednesday September 22, the World Affairs Council hosted a discussion with three partners from Pinhero Neto Advogados, one of Brazil’s leading law firms: Luiz Roberto Peroba, José Mauro Decoussau Machado, and Raphael de Cunto, who serve both Brazilian and multinational clients. The event was moderated by Nelson Dong, a partner in Dorsey’s Corporate group, Chair of the National Security Law practice and co-Chair of the Asia-Pacific practice.

The discussion addressed a number of political and socio-economic issues faced by Brazil including the main causes of the sharp fall in Brazil’s economy, the current political environment after the impeachment of President Dilma Rousseff, much needed tax reform, and policy changes under the new president, Michel Temer.

Thank you to Dorsey & Whitney LLP for once again hosting a World Affairs Council event!
