Trump’s First 100 Days – A BBC Journalist’s View
On Thursday April 27 the Council and KUOW partnered to host BBC’s Senior North American Reporter Anthony Zurcher for a conversation on Trump’s first 100 days in office. The conversation was moderated by local KUOW reporter Amy Radil and took place at Russell Investments.
Topics addressed in the discussion included immigration policy, the current status of sanctuary cities, vacancies in governmental positions including a number of Ambassadorships, and President Trump’s refusal to pivot on issues. Along with these topics, Anthony gave the audience insight into the world of journalism since the Trump campaign, and the many adaptations and changes that have been necessary to make in order to keep up with Trump coverage.
