Karen Balek

Karen Balek is Director of Portfolio Analytics at Weyerhaeuser, leading portfolio optimization, advanced analytics, geospatial intelligence, and AI-enabled decision support that guide strategic decisions across the company's timberland portfolio. Karen's career spans leadership roles in tax, organizational change management, finance technology, and portfolio analytics with Weyerhaeuser. Prior to joining Weyerhaeuser, she held various tax positions at both Plum Creek Timber Company and Ernst & Young. Karen holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration and a master’s degree in taxation from the University of Washington.
