75th Anniversary Summer Wine Tasting
August 5th, 2026 5:30PM -8:00PM
Join us on Wednesday, August 5, from 5:30 – 8:00 p.m. in the gardens of Chateau Lill in Woodinville — one of the Pacific Northwest's most beautiful event settings overlooking the Sammamish River Valley. This year, in honor of the World Affairs Council’s 75th Anniversary, Chateau Lill is bringing together four celebrated names in Woodinville wine country for one evening only — an exclusive pouring lineup you won't find gathered anywhere else. Light food will be served throughout the evening. Please note that this is an adults-only event for guests aged 21 and older.
An evening of exceptional pours, all in one place
Our host, Chateau Lill, is a European-inspired estate where Old World charm meets Pacific Northwest natural beauty, with manicured gardens, rustic ambiance and vineyard views. You'll sample pours from standout partners:
- Lill Family Wines — For more than 25 years, the Lill family has pioneered top-tier Washington wines through DeLille Cellars, founded in 1992, and now continues that legacy with Lill Family Wines, built on decades of friendship and industry relationships with top vintners and trusted collaborators.
- Dossier Wines — a Walla Walla luxury label founded in 2021 by former Seattle Seahawk and Super Bowl champion Sidney Rice, alongside business partner Tim Lenihan.
- JM Cellars — a family-owned winery crafting handcrafted, limited-release wines since 1998, drawing from Washington's premier vineyards with a deep commitment to sustainable, Salmon Safe-certified practices.
- Heritage Restaurant & Bar — Woodinville's beloved community gathering spot, led by acclaimed chef-owner Breanna Beike, providing the food that will accompany your tastings throughout the evening.
This is a rare chance to experience all four in a single, beautiful summer garden setting.
Since 1951, the World Affairs Council has united people who believe that global understanding and human connection are the foundation of a better world. This evening is a chance to experience that community firsthand — and your ticket directly supports the work that will carry it forward for the next 75 years.
A note on tickets: Members receive a discounted ticket price of $50 for this event, saving $75 off the general admission price of $125. Become a member today, and apply your member discount to your reservation, plus enjoy a full year of programs, speaker events, and community connection.
Good wine deserves a safe ride home. We encourage guests to use rideshare or take advantage of our complimentary round-trip bus from downtown Seattle. Limited parking is also available at the venue.
If you are able, additional gifts above the ticket price are always welcome and go directly toward supporting our mission as a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization.
