About Our Speaker
Before joining the foundation in 2013, Ankur was the director of programs at the Children’s Investment Fund Foundation (CIFF) in London, where he oversaw a cross-cutting portfolio focused on health, nutrition, education, and climate change across Africa and South Asia. Before CIFF, he served as a principal at Boston Consulting Group, where he focused on health care, financial services, and social impact projects. He was also a lecturer in economics at the University of Chicago and worked briefly at Goldman Sachs, the Industrial Development Bank of India, and the Bhabha Atomic Research Centre in India.
Ankur’s commitment to social impact is deeply influenced by his upbringing in India, where he saw his parents commit their lives to helping others. This foundational experience has driven him to contribute to a world where everyone has the opportunity for a healthy, productive life.
Ankur has a doctorate in economics from the University of Chicago, along with a Master of Science in economics and a Bachelor of Engineering in computer science from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani. Ankur serves on the board of Global Health Labs.
