The International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) is sponsored by the U.S. Department of State with funding provided by the U.S. Government and administered by the World Affairs Council which is a member of Global Ties U.S.
Secondary School Administration: Six Palestinian school teachers and administrators will come to Seattle to examine education in the United States including specialized curriculum programs, student-centered educational systems and activities, and educational strategies for students exposed to conflict.
Advancing STEM in the Quad: Seventeen scientists, professors, and organization directors focused on STEM advancement will discuss organizational and educational policies surrounding STEM, and insights into emerging space, communications, and defense technology in their time in Seattle.
Digital Governance: Four heads of banks and studios from Tajikistan will visit Seattle to discuss ensuring success in digital transformation, and data security and anti-fraud measures in e-commerce.
Understanding U.S. Policy in East Asia: Eight directors, editors, academics, and researchers from Egypt, in their travels to Seattle, will discuss U.S. foreign and economic policy with East Asia, including competitions and alliances, and engagement with Asian and Asian-American communities in the United States.
Combatting Illegal, Unreported, and Unregulated Fishing (IUUF): Five commanders and ministers focusing on aquatic livestock and environment will come to Seattle from throughout the Western Hemisphere to discuss strategies to address sustainable fisheries and IUUF, and law enforcement to deter foreign fishing vessels from engaging in illicit activity.
Opportunities for Innovation and Partnership in Higher Education: Seven university professors and directors from throughout the Western Hemisphere will discuss higher education in the US, preparing young adults to participate in the job market, examine trends in educational technologies, and explore access for students across the United States.
