The International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) is sponsored by the U.S. Department of State with funding provided by the U.S. Government and administered by the World Affairs Council which is a member of Global Ties U.S.
Women as Drivers of Social and Economic Change: Nine woman leaders from throughout the Western Hemisphere are coming to Seattle to discuss women leadership in public service, civil society, politics, and the private sector, as well as to showcase women-led efforts that have generated positive change in education, healthcare, nutrition, and well-being.
Strengthening E-Governance Capacity for the Academy of Civil Service (ACS): Two master’s students and two lecturers from the Academy of Civil Service for the President of Turkmenistan are coming to Seattle to learn about how to harness technology to increase educational capabilities and form global classroom partnerships.
Electoral Participation and Engagement: Nine political scientists, journalists, and youth leaders from Venezuela are coming to Seattle to explore innovative methods to mobilize young voters, organize grassroots and voter movements, and increase accessibility to civic engagement.
TESOL Access Exchange is a U.S. State Department initiative that is administered by FHI360 in partnership with the World Affairs Council.
TESOL Access Exchange: Twelve English language educators from twelve different countries are coming to Seattle to experience the diversity of American perspectives of civics and societal values, and increase the cross-cultural understanding of English language learners around the world.
