Prospects for the Korean Peninsula: A Conversation with Former U.S. Ambassador to South Korea Mark Lippert

Former U.S. Ambassador to South Korea Mark Lippert joined the World Affairs Council on June 14th for a sold-out, timely discussion on the course of the U.S.-ROK alliance, U.S-North Korean rapprochement, and the broader geopolitics of the North Asian region.
Former Ambassador Lippert commented on the recent Trump-Kim summit in Singapore, using his prior experience in the U.S. Military, Foreign Service, and White House to provide unique insight into the complex geopolitical state of the Korean peninsula. Ambassador Lippert also fleshed out his take on what China, Japan, and Russia’s priorities and goals are coming out of the Summit, keeping the regional politics in view.
