November 29th, 2021 12:00PM -1:00PM
This is a virtual program, instructions to join this webinar will be sent to all registrants prior to the event.
At the recent COP 26 in Glasgow, countries and companies offered sustainability commitments to try to make progress in addressing our current climate crisis. Recognizing that public-private cooperation will be crucial, Glasgow saw the announcement of a new global public-private partnership championed by US Climate Envoy John Kerry. While Seattle companies are represented as founders of this group, Seattle companies have been committed to leading globally on sustainability and innovating for years. Join the World Affairs Council on November 29 for a virtual conversation with local business leaders for a conversation on their companies sustainability commitments and how those are being implemented around the world. Speaking will be Diana Birkett Rakow (Alaska Airlines), Chris Davis (Amazon), and Michelle Lancaster (Microsoft) as they discuss what challenges face global business today. Boeing’s 2021 Environmental Champion of the Year Kristin Marshall will moderate the conversation.
