Originally from San Francisco, CA, Austin graduated from the University of Puget Sound in 2019 with a BA in comparative politics and history and moved to Seattle in 2021. With a professional background in public service including an internship for then-senator Kamala Harris and as an instructor for a nonprofit cooking and nutrition program, she currently works as an administrator for Path with Art, a nonprofit that promotes trauma healing and community building through arts engagement. Austin feels incredibly fortunate to have spent a semester studying social and political transformation in South Africa, and traveled all around the world with family and friends. She can usually be found walking while listening to a podcast, at a farmers market, getting heated at her local trivia night, or trying to expand her bread baking repertoire.
