Leila Klass

Leila Klass is an intern with the Community Programs and Engagement team. She is a dual citizen with Egypt, and grew up bouncing between Seattle and different countries overseas. She is currently working on her Undergraduate degree with the University of Washington, studying International Relations, National Security, and Business Administration. She is also a Cybersecurity Research Fellow and the UW, focusing on infrastructure sovereignty and the geopolitics of artificial intelligence.

Leila has experience with Spanish, and studied abroad in Leon, Spain spring of 2026. Before joining the WAC she interned with the U.S. Attorneys Office in Seattle. Leila plans to work in the public sector, focusing on diplomacy and national security, or in the private sector with a focus on cybersecurity and AI.

In her free time Leila loves to read, cook, go to concerts, and explore new places.
