Alex Ha
Alexander Ha is a rising senior at Newport Highschool. After graduation, he aspires to study and eventually work within the field of international relations and diplomacy.
Alexander is the President of the Model United Nations club at his school where he is able to help his fellow students develop interests in international relations, learn more about foreign policy, and become more aware of global current events.
Within the club, Alexander also prepares fellow students to compete in Model UN conferences hosted by the MUN Northwest organization, which he also serves as a repeated staffer and secretariat member of. Here, Alexander helps organize competitions in which students from across the Northwest simulate different committees within the UN. Alexander has served as a staffer for numerous committees at these competitions, where he guides students to take on the roles of nations discussing complex global issues. Recently, he has been hired as the Under Secretary General of Advanced Seminars at EDUMUN 2024, where he is organizing seminars which will teach participants how to engage in advanced Model UN committees.
Alexander’s time within the Model UN community is what started his passion for international relations and drove him to becoming an External Relations and Community Programs intern at the World Affairs Council.
Alexander is excited to learn more about the field of international relations from his peers at the World Affairs Council and is thrilled to help advance understanding of global affairs within his community.
