Beth Phelps

Beth Phelps is Senior Director at the American Chamber of Commerce in Japan. She serves as a senior advisor and has advocated for the interests of U.S. companies to improve the business environment in Japan.

Prior to life in Japan, Beth spent ten years leading initiatives for multiple USG clients in Washington, D.C. to address complex strategic communication challenges around the world and ensure effective messaging to foreign audiences.

Beth holds a Masters of Education with a specialization in technical education from Piedmont University and a Bachelors of Education from Western Washington University.

Beth has been exploring the Northwest after relocating back to Seattle from Tokyo post-pandemic. She volunteers at the Seattle Art Museum.
