Bruno Hernandez Sotres
Recent BSc (Hons) International Business Management graduate from Anglia Ruskin
University (Cambridge, UK). Bruno H. Sotres matriculated through an undergraduate
dissertation thesis; ‘Drivers Motivating the Pursuit of The Belt and Road Initiative’, with
research focusing on political economy, international trade and economics, global business
environment, and international relations.

Prior to joining the World Affairs Council – Seattle as a GC intern, Bruno worked with K-12
athletes as Head of Junior High Performance Tennis Program at Columbia Athletics Clubs in
Sammamish, WA. As a former college tennis athlete, team captain, and professional coach
Bruno advocates for the implementation of global citizenship education, to prepare the youth
in 21 st century challenges. Due to pandemic educational setbacks around the world, now
more than ever, he strongly believes in the pursuit of Quality Education goals set by the
UNSDG.
In his spare time, Bruno enjoys; exploring the numerous national and state parks in the PNW
and beyond for days at a time, continued learning ranging from emergency medicine and
rescue courses, to attending foreign policy discussions forums. He also loves to dance and
participate in physical challenges such as; rugby matches, CrossFit competitions, obstacle
races, hiking and mountaineering.
