Cara Blume
Cara Blume is a Development Intern, originally from Germany. She is currently pursuing her master's at the University of Washington in international studies. Previously, she graduated from the Leibniz University of Hannover with a bachelor's degree in political science where she specialized in international relations and political sociology. Her academic interests include transatlantic relations, racism and diplomacy.
Before moving to Seattle for grad school, Cara worked in the Lower Saxony State Parliament in Germany where supported legislative and public outreach work. Additionally, she was involved in local politics, helping with election campaigns and volunteering at her local food bank.
Cara is very passionate about cultural exchange and connecting people from diverse backgrounds to learn about different views and experiences. She hopes to build a career in international relations, ideally focusing on transatlantic relations.
In her free time, you will find her trying new cafés in Seattle or exploring the beautiful nature in Washington.
