Catherine Ousselin
Catherine Ousselin is a French teacher at Mount Vernon High School and serves as Executive Director of the Washington Association for Language Teaching (WAFLT). An accomplished educator and advocate for language learning, she is actively involved in professional organizations including WAFLT, the Pacific Northwest Council for Languages (PNCFL), the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL), and the International Association for Language Learning Technology (IALLT).
Catherine is a passionate supporter of multilingualism and intercultural understanding, believing that language learning provides students with powerful tools for connecting across cultures and engaging in a global society.
Her own global experiences include travel to more than 20 countries and proficiency in five languages, experiences that continue to inform her teaching and leadership. Through her work, Catherine helps students and educators recognize the transformative power of language learning as a pathway to global citizenship.
