Cissy Dai
Originally from Beijing, China, Cissy is an undergraduate student at the University of Washington pursuing a double major in Public Health – Global Health and Drama: Design. Before moving to Seattle, she attended a small private high school in Vermont, where the town had just over 2,000 residents. That close-knit community experience deepened her appreciation for human connection and sparked her passion for communication and community engagement across cultures.
Cissy has explored these interests through both academic coursework and community involvement. She works part-time at the UW Disability Resources for Students Testing Center, where she supports campus-wide academic services, and also serves in student government, representing the international student community in policy and program planning. Through these experiences, she has strengthened her skills in communication, organization, and cross-functional collaboration.
Cissy is excited to join the World Affairs Council as a community engagement and communications intern. She looks forward to applying her experience in inclusive leadership and public-facing roles to global programming and nonprofit communications. In her free time, Cissy enjoys creating various kinds of artwork and discovering new cafés around Seattle.
