| I am a lawyer who believes that the best advocates are those who understand the broader forces shaping their clients' worlds. Please submit a short bio of 10-15 lines (which will be shared with the other Fellows if you are selected). * Before he ever set foot in a courtroom, Daniel Keum was on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., advocating for families torn apart by one of the world's longest-running geopolitical conflicts. As President of the National Coalition for the Divided Families, he championed the cause of Korean-American families separated by the division of Korea — an experience that cemented his belief in the power of advocacy and the importance of understanding the world beyond our borders. Daniel is now a trial lawyer and investigations attorney at Morrison Foerster in Seattle, representing clients across technology, fintech, real estate, healthcare, and other industries in their most consequential disputes and crises. Daniel is as comfortable managing a multi-front investigation as he is preparing a witness for cross-examination. He remains deeply engaged with questions of international policy and is committed to bringing a global perspective to his legal practice and community. |
