Forrest Wu
Forrest is a third-year undergraduate at the University of Washington, double majoring in International Studies and Law, Societies, and Justice. He is also pursuing a minor in Chinese and recently spent a summer studying the language at Beijing Language and Culture University. He joins the World Affairs Council as an intern for the Global Leadership Exchange (GLX) program. Forrest is deeply interested in understanding how and why countries interact the way they do, and in exploring the systems and worldviews that shape the global order. He is excited to gain first-hand experience supporting international exchange programming through his work with the GLX team. Born and raised in Seattle, Forrest has been actively involved with local
community organizations, including the Outdoors for All Foundation and the "Eggrolls" mutual aid group in the Chinatown–International District. He also gained valuable experience as an intern with the Criminal Division of the U.S. Attorney's Oce, where he supported the preparation of criminal cases. In his free time, Forrest enjoys hiking, running, and spending time with his two cats.
