Jaya Ravi

Jaya Ravi is currently a senior at the University of Washington majoring in educational studies with a concentration in elementary education and a specialization in teaching English to speakers of other languages. During her time as an undergraduate, she taught for a year in both the Northshore and Lake Washington school districts and developed her passion for educational justice.

Jaya’s background in education and marketing has led her to the World Affairs Council, where she hopes to gain more insight into the educational inequities that are prevalent in schools in Washington and work to adequately raise awareness about these issues. Outside of work, her hobbies are reading, drawing, hiking, and enjoying time with family and friends.
