Jessica Sciarone
Jessica Sciarone joined the World Affairs Council as Program Officer for Community Events in 2019. Jessica is originally from the Netherlands and fell in love with the Pacific Northwest during her exchange at Western Washington University in Bellingham. Since 2012, she has lived in London, Washington D.C., and The Hague before settling in Seattle. In the Netherlands, she worked for ProDemos and the University of Leiden. At the University of Leiden she focused on radicalization processes and risk perception related to terrorist attacks. After her move to Seattle, she worked as an intelligence analyst for a security risk consultancy where she was embedded at Amazon. Jessica received an MA in Intelligence and International Security from King’s College London and an MSc in Crisis and Security Management from the University of Leiden. Outside of work, her hobbies include hiking, running, reading and exploring the PNW.
