Justine Hurley
Justine Hurley brings more than 30 years of educational experience to the fellowship, having taught both elementary and middle school students throughout her career. Her work has included teaching in combined fifth- and sixth-grade classrooms as well as middle school settings, where she has helped students develop curiosity, critical thinking skills, and a love of learning.
Originally from Oregon, Justine moved to Washington for college and has called the region home ever since. Over the course of her career, she has witnessed significant changes in education while remaining committed to creating engaging learning experiences that help students better understand themselves and the world around them.
Justine values the opportunity to continue learning alongside fellow educators and is excited to explore new ways to bring global perspectives into her teaching. She lives in Seattle's Wallingford neighborhood with her husband, Sean, a Seattle Public Schools paraeducator, and their two cats.
