Kathleen Wong
Kathleen Wong is a fourth- and fifth-grade teacher at McDonald International School and has spent 15 years helping students develop into active and engaged global citizens. Throughout her career, she has been passionate about international education and creating learning experiences that help students understand diverse cultures and perspectives.
Kathleen regularly incorporates a global lens into her teaching and has facilitated international partnerships and exchanges with educators and students from countries including Pakistan, Russia, Taiwan, and Egypt. These experiences have helped students build meaningful connections beyond their own communities while fostering curiosity and intercultural understanding.
She is a strong supporter of global learning initiatives, including the World Affairs Council's World Citizen Essay Contest, which she has used as a valuable opportunity for students to engage with global issues. Kathleen looks forward to continuing to expand international learning opportunities through the fellowship.
