Mathew Willoughby
Matthew enjoys communicating and engaging with global issues. He graduated from Western Washington University with a double major BA in Comparative Politics and Public Relations. During his education, he had the opportunity to intern at the U.S. Department of State, writing tweets for Secretary of State Antony Blinken and creating engaging events on global issues for students and community members as the Vice President of Public Relations and Event Planning for his university’s International Affairs Association. He currently works as an Engagement Planner at the Washington State Department of Transportation, where he engages community partners to facilitate long-lasting relationships that lead to better policy outcomes. In his free time, Matthew enjoys hiking throughout the state, spending time with friends, and listening to bossa nova music.
