Maddie Morris
Maddie Morris was raised in Anderson, South Carolina. She graduated with degrees in International Relations from Furman University and the University of Edinburgh in Scotland. She conducted her Master’s dissertation research in Beirut, Lebanon during the Syrian refugee crisis. Maddie moved to Seattle for her current role as a Trade Commissioner for the Consulate General of Canada, where she promotes economic ties between Canada and the US Pacific Northwest in the aerospace and advanced engineering sectors. Part of this role included acting as co-lead of the Boeing Launchpad Canada program for start-ups. Previously, Commissioner Morris worked for the British Government during Brexit and in Scottish Parliament during the Scottish Referendum for Independence. Maddie enjoys playing tennis, recording music, and sunny Saturday afternoons at the park with friends.
