Meryl Jordan
Meryl Jordan joined the World Affairs Council in 2021 as a Senior Program Officer for Community Programs. Born and raised in California, she graduated from UC Berkeley with a B.A. in History with a concentration in religion. Prior to working at the Council, she worked for the Japan Exchange and Teaching (JET) Program, first as an Assistant Language Teacher and a Prefectural Advisor for the Gifu Prefecture Board of Education in Japan, and then as a Senior Program Coordinator at the Embassy of Japan in Washington, D.C. She believes that learning about other countries and engaging in current topics that connect us globally is of the utmost importance in today’s world. In her free time, she enjoys learning about the countries and places to which she wants to travel, exploring the city she is living in, hiking, and baking.
