Oliver Thomassen

Oliver Thomassen serves as a Senior Manager of the Public Affairs team within Microsoft’s Corporate, External, & Legal Affairs (CELA) department. He leads on initiatives designed to promote Microsoft’s public policy campaigns and programs in managing, disseminating and exchanging crucial information and reporting to better serve our CELA representatives in advancing Microsoft’s public policy, commercial and societal impact goals all over the world. An alum of the University of Washington and the College of Europe, Oliver’s 15 years of professional experience in government affairs includes positions with the UK Foreign Service to the EU, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and other public consultancies. When Oliver isn’t working, he enjoys kayaking in the Puget Sound area, learning from his cooking mistakes, and nurturing a childhood love for baseball.
