Paulos Ashebir Lakew

Paulos Lakew is a transportation economist with more than 15 years of experience across aviation, transportation consulting, international organizations, and government. He is Regional Director of Market Analysis at Boeing Commercial Airplanes, where he provides subject-matter expertise on aviation market trends, air travel demand, and commercial fleet outlooks. Previously, he served as Head of Industry Analysis at the International Air Transport Association (IATA) in Geneva, leading research and forecasting on global and regional passenger and air cargo markets. He has also held senior roles at Steer Group and Unison Consulting, advising major airports and transportation agencies across North America. His expertise includes transportation economics, econometric modeling, demand forecasting, and strategic market analysis. Paulos holds a PhD in Transportation Science from the University of California, Irvine, and a BA in Physics from Bard College.
