Renae Gaines
Renae Gaines is a Seattle Public Schools educator with more than two decades of experience supporting students with diverse academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education with a Special Education endorsement from City University and a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction.
Her work centers on creating equitable and inclusive learning environments through individualized, standards-aligned instruction and evidence-based practices. Renae is committed to ensuring all students have meaningful access to grade-level learning while building the skills, confidence, and independence needed for long-term success.
In addition to her classroom expertise, Renae has pursued extensive professional learning in areas including PBIS, MTSS, restorative practices, trauma-informed education, anti-racist teaching, and equity-centered leadership. She believes strong relationships and a sense of belonging are foundational to student achievement and is excited to explore how global learning can help students expand their perspectives, strengthen critical thinking skills, and connect their learning to the wider world.
