Rhiannon Rasaretnam

Rhiannon joined the World Affairs Council in July 2023 as a Program Coordinator for the Global Leadership Exchange Program. She is a recent graduate from the University of Washington, with a B.A. in International Studies. Having been raised by parents who were refugees from Vietnam and Sri Lanka, she developed an early appreciation for cultural exchange.  During her high school and university years, Rhiannon became involved in student advocacy, community engagement, and expanding educational access. Most recently, she worked at a local arts non-profit dedicated to fostering youth involvement and agency in the arts world.

Rhiannon is terrifically excited to continue creating meaningful and long-lasting connections throughout the Seattle community, while also contributing to the vast global network of people, places, and ideas. She also likes to spend her time watching movies, collecting vintage books, and playing tennis (weather permitting)!
