Stephanie King
Stephanie King teaches English Language Arts at Granger High School, where she also supports students in earning University of Washington credit through the College in the High School program. A nationally recognized educator, Stephanie was named a Global Teacher Finalist and received the Horace Mann Award for Teaching Excellence in 2026. She is also a 2024 NEA Foundation Global Learning Fellow.
Stephanie is passionate about helping students become globally competent communicators and engaged citizens. Her commitment to international learning has included participation in the Fulbright Teachers for Global Classrooms program, during which she documented her learning experiences in Morocco and explored new ways to bring global perspectives into the classroom.
Her curriculum work has been featured through fellowships and partnerships with organizations including the Library of Congress, the Pulitzer Center, and American University. Through these opportunities, she has developed and shared instructional resources that help students engage with global issues through writing, research, and critical inquiry.
