Meet Our Fellow: Skyler Brown
Why did you join the Fellows program?
The Fellows program is, in my opinion, one of King County's best programs for increasing deep international relations knowledge and building a stronger network of globally focused professionals. I heard the guest speaker rotation was world class, and I viewed learning from the best as an exciting opportunity.
What did you gain from the experience?
A much deeper understanding of various international friction points and several relationships with brilliant people from varied backgrounds who continue to work in the space.
What was a program highlight for you?
My favorite speaker was Fiona Hill. Her off the record commentary and Q&A were exceptionally insightful, and her predictions on former soviet block outcomes were prescient.
What would you say to incoming applicants about the program?
The World Affairs Council Fellowship will be a great use of your time, and you can gain even more value by being a proactive fellow.
